On behalf of all Nationwide associates, welcome to the 2010 Ohio Diversity and Leadership Conference. We are pleased to be a sponsor for the 3rd consecutive year. Over the course of these past three years, we have celebrated the historic election of our first African American President, we have faced unprecendented economic challenges as a country, and this year brings the hope of recovery.
This year's conference, Inclusion Yields Innovation, is a timely and relevant topic as every organization looks for recovery and growth. Innovation is required to grow businesses and communities in new and sustainable ways; ways that work for all. We will have the opportunity to explore how we create environments that are inclusive at the deepest level. Inclusion must be designed into our systems, processes and our individual behavior because without that we cannot innovate. While diversity yields the potential for innovation, it cannot be realized without inclusion. I look forward again this year to connecting with returning attendees and making new connections.
