Linda Lu
Vice President and Chief Litigation Officer
Nationwide Insurance

Linda Lu is the Vice President and Chief Litigation Officer of Nationwide Insurance. She leads a team of over fifty-five attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. She is one of the Executive Sponsors of the legal department's Approved Counsel Program, and Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

Prior to Nationwide, Linda was in various leadership positions at Allstate Insurance, including the Corporate Litigation department, the Protection Law department, and Chair of Allstate's Preferred Law Firm Diversity Committee. Prior to Allstate, Linda was a litigator with the Chicago law firm of Lowis & Gellen, representing hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in complex litigation.

Linda is also an active leader in the legal community. She is past Vice President and Board Member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), past President of the Asian American Bar Association of Chicago, a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) and an Advisory Committee member of the GCI for MCCA. She is also past Vice President of The University of Chicago Board of Governors, and former community liaison for District 34. Linda is the recipient of NAPABA's Best Under 40 Award, and recognized as a R3-100 by Inside Counsel Magazine. In 2014, Linda was recognized by the National Diversity Council as one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women of Ohio. Linda graduated from the Georgetown Law Center and The University of Chicago, where she was the captain of the tennis team. Linda is the proud “Tiger Mom” of 3 school age children.
