I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to the 2009 Ohio Diversity and Leadership Conference and Job Fair. This year's theme is "DiversityFIRST™." For many organizations, diversity has become a priority due to the shifting demographics of both the marketplace and the workforce; diversity is not only perceived as the right thing to do, but it is essential for success. This Conference will further the statewide dialogue on diversity and inclusion and provide organizations and individuals with the opportunity to have open dialog, to learn and to benchmark on diversity best practices. One of my aims is to encourage leaders to discuss issues, challenge attitudes, and promote organizational change that supports the ideal of "Diversity FIRST™."
I am very proud to announce that we have fabulous keynote speakers. In addition, the conference will have over 80 speakers, 28 different breakout sessions, several summits and a Job Fair. I sincerely hope that you take full advantage of the conference through participating in sessions, engaging the speakers, and networking with other attendees. The value of the conference comes not only with what you learn while attending, but what you are able to take away and instill in your workplace and community.
The Conference is a wonderful opportunity for Ohio to celebrate its diversity and to further its dialogue. As you may already know, Diversity is not a sprint but it is a journey. Please come out and support the conference and make this event a success. I appreciate your support.
Thanks,
Dennis Kennedy
